Artist Statement
I am a mixed media artist with a love of diversity in every aspect. Color, texture, form, location, mood, and subject matter all intrigue me. My life has been one of observation and education. The “taking it all in” approach will always inform my work. While not always literal, I interpret that inner sensibility into something new. The intuitive pulse that inspires movement of my hand and the choice of implement or color all emerge spontaneously. In the first stages of development a painting may look one way and then evolve to become something else entirely before my process concludes. Each layer builds on the one before it until I’m satisfied it is complete.
Take pains with thine art….That is to say, when thy fingers grasp the paintbrush, it is as if thou wert at prayer.

About
Andi is an award-winning mixed media artist whose work has been featured in galleries, museums, and healing spaces across the country. A graduate of the School of Art and Design in New York City, she went on to earn her B.A. from Vermont College of Norwich University. Along the way, she studied under renowned artists Charles Brindley and Nicholas Wilton, whose mentorship shaped her distinctive artistic voice.
Her pieces often reflect an intimate dialogue between realism and abstraction, drawing viewers into layered narratives of memory, place, and emotion. Rooted in her home studio, Andi creates surrounded by the gentle rhythm of neighborhood birdsong and the loyal companionship of her rescue pup, Bobo.
